Kaprun Glacier: Europa Sport Region
(1970m - 3029m)The glacier at Kaprun ensures our guests enjoy skiing all year round. Forming the remaining 50kms of the Europa Sport Region you'll take a ride on the world’s highest cable car up the mighty Kitzsteinhorn glacier to a 1000m above the tree line to reach an awe inspiring 3029 meters above sea level. The views at the summit really will take your breath away, and that is where you start what most of our guests describe as the most enjoyable day they've ever had on the slopes! That's because this area is best described as a huge fun park, consisting of everything a good intermediate and expert dreams about, with snow-parks suitable for the novice jumper through to the total professional in the Volvo XC Ice Camp.
This quite unique environment captivates the essence of what skiing and snowboarding is all about, from wide red runs that are perfectly groomed and covered in crisp snow, to natural half pipes, slalom courses, mogul fields, waste deep off-piste areas and more jumps than you can shake a ski pole at! This together with the Igloo bars, raucous après ski and views that feel like you can almost see home, truly result in a fabulous SuperSki day.
